NEDO consortium develops high-purity carbon nanotubes (CNT) for printing electronics

The consortium which involves NEC, Nagasaki NanoCarrier and others, developed a single layer CNT separation technique without using an ionic surfactant. By Electric Field Induced Layer Formation (ELF)”, they succeeded in separating semiconducting CNTs with a purity of 99% or more. This allows to manufacture high performance ink materials without using dispersants that adversely affect device operation, and it is expected to realize high performance transistors by printing electronics.”
