The program was done from FY2012 – FY2016 and resulted in a bagasse ethanol production plant with a treatment capacity 1300 tons/year, producing 100 ㎘/year of ethanol. Contractors were Tsukishima Kikai Co., and JFE Engineering Co.
Enzymes were produced on-site by Acremonium cellulolyticus C-1, and in order to respond to seasonal changes in ingredients of bagasse, the design of the plant was modelled accordingly.
