NEDO starts program on 3D tissue engineering using 3D printing

The 5 years’ program with a funding of 2.4 billion Yen will explore the potential of scaffolding iPS-derived cells using 3D printers, with a focus on bone, cartilage, meniscus, knee joints, and skin. It aims at commercialization of new regenerative medicine products. Industrial partners are Fujifilm, Toray, Ricoh, Kyowa Hakko Bio, Asahi Glass and several iPS-related startup companies.
