As commissioned by JST within its A-STEP program, Kaneka used its 1000 t/a demonstration facility for production of poly (3 – hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxy-hexanoate) (PHBH) for a field test where PHBH mulch was used for 5 months, tob e shredded by a tractor without problems.
