Under a NEDO contract, the device uses a combination of a micro gas turbine from Nippon Triarium Co. and of a cylindrical solid oxide fuel cell. As SOFC have a high power generation efficiency at high temperature, contributing to reduction of environmental burden, combined power generation with a micro gas turbine is expected to increase power generation efficiency.
