The allogenic cells were selected from a same donor type stocked at the iPS cell bank of CiRA, expanded at RIKEN’s CDB, and transplanted at Kobe City Medical Center into a 60-year-old male’s right eye. The patient suffers from age-related macular degeneration in the retina, with early symptoms of vision loss.
