Kanazawa University develops crawler robot that can climb steps and stairs up to 1 m height

The robot is built from a series of mobile structures connected by joints. Over a length of 1730 mm, 17 joint motors and 10 wheel motors are mounted. Weight is about 9 kg. The robot carries a camera It can operate for 1 hour by wireless remote control usisng the videos of the camera. The robot was developed for applications such as patrol inspections of plants, houses and other infrastructures.
