AIST and On-Chip Biotechnologies, Inc. have developed  technology that detects and separates microorganisms inside water-in-oil droplets by fluorescently staining the membrane components of microorganisms. The detection reagent used in this technology will be commercialized by On-Chip Biotechnologies and will be on sale from October 1st.
