The market for this IoT household sector is forecasted by NEDO to expand from the current USD 15 billion sales worldwide to 400 billion USD by 2030. Various device manufacturers and service providers collaborate to collect and analyze life data, and develop of services ahead of individual needs is accelerating. In the NEDO-supported project which will be carried out by Sharp, Konica Minolta, KDDI, Mitsubishi Research and others, IoT home electronics and sensor information will be aggregated, and a data platform for high-order data processing will be established to support elderly people’s lives. Based on this information, services will be created to support elderly people’s lives by regional comprehensive support centers and visiting nursing care providers.
