Takara will construct a new facility at its head offices in Kusatsu, Shiga Prefecture. In the new facility, the production volume of the vector increases from the conventional 50 L scale to a 2000 L scale. It will allow the manufacture of retroviruses, lentiviruses, herpes viruses, adenoviruses, adeno-associated viruses, and Sendai viruses. In addition, the equipment for filling bottles will increase from 3000 to 20,000 bottles a day.
