Tokyo bioventure Dante offers male semen analysis to predict reproductive health

The Tokyo-based company analyzes testosterone, zinc, spermine and creatine and offers a test kit that can be mailed at ambient temperature. Semen analysis from 80 healthy men aged 23 to 58 years showed that testosterone concentration in semen declined by half from age 20 to 30 and gradually further until the 50ies, whereas the oxidative stress marker 8 hydroxyddeoxyguanosine (8 – OHdG) gradually increased. The company is based on crowd funding.
