NEDO targets various metal resources to recycle the waste of electric and electronic equipment, to extract and recycle base metals, precious metals, rare metals, etc. from these so-called urban mines. The program on Research and development project on recycling technology to build highly efficient resource recycling system (FY 2017 ~ 2022) will start this year. Partners are NAIST, Daiei Environment Co., Sato Ironworks Co., Reitemu Inc., DOWA Ecosystem Co., Mitsunori Co., Ltd., Japan Atomic Energy R&D Organization, Kyoto University, Osaka University, and Saga University.”
