Kagome will label tomato juice products with health claim, expects 1.7 fold higher sales

This step concerns three Kagome vegetable juices” that have been on sale since 1973. According to the Consumer Agency’s new system on functionality presentation, the products will now be labelled as useful “to those with increased blood pressure” (lycopene-based lowering of cholesterol level). The sales target from May 2017 to December 2017 is 990 million yen for all 3 items, 1.7 times more as compared with the same period in 2016.”
