Japanese team establishs „organ buds“ for organ regeneration

The groups of Hideki TANIGUCH at Saitama University and Takanori TAKEBE at Yokohama City University have developed a technology which allows the formation of organ buds from mesenchymal cells. As an example, 3D kidney tissue which produced urine and pancreatic tissue which has an insulin-controlling function were produced.
