Fuji Soft announced that, after technology transfer from the University of Tokyo Hospital, they have entered into clinical trials with implant-type autologous regenerated cartilage. Cartilage cells are taken from the ear and cultivated for about 50 days, then mixed with atelocollagen to form the desired shape before transplantation. Experiments are traced by barcodes or RFID tags.
