Team at Keio University clarifies pathology of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy using iPS technology

The team of Atsushi TANAKA used iPS cells from healthy and diseased patients and differentiated them into cardiomyocytes. It was shown that differences in endothelin-1 formation are involved in pathogenesis and a more detailed pathogenetic picture emerged.
