Nagoya group develops improved genome-editing procedure

In the new procedure termed „TAKE“ (Technique for Animal Knockout system by Electroporation), endonuclease-coding mRNAs are inserted into intact embryos via electroporation. Survival rate of mouse embryos was 91 % and genome-editing rate 73 %, much higher than with microinjection methods.
