Japanese researchers generate live piglets from cryopreseerved oocytes

Researchers around Kazuhiro KIKUCHI from Azabu University and the
National Institute of Agrobiological Sciences have succeeded for the first time to breed piglets by embryo transfer using vitrified immature oocytes, using a stepwise thawing process. The achievement is considered useful for genetic resources preservation.
