In a cooperative project among NEDO (Japan) and China’s National Development and Reform Commission, Toyota and Showa Metal have started a JV with a Beijing company to recycle over 10.000 cars at 90 % recycling rate per year. In Beijing alone, 7.6 million used cars are sold per year, and Japan offers high-tech solutions to recycle car components.
