AIST Nanotube Research Center presents novel coating film based on carbon nano-tubes (CNT)

In order to coat microstructures by CNT thick films, it was necessary to stably disperse high concentrations of CNT at a thickness of several tens of micrometers. This was achieved by Kenji HATA and colleagues by using short multilayer CNT and a proprietary coating agent. The coating will be used for battery electrodes, double layer capacitors, high current capacity wires , heat-radiating and, flexible electronics elements, black coating films etc.
