RIKEN-Tsukuba University consortium isolate tomato varieties which bear fruits without pollination

By screning 10.000 varieties of tomatoes, the team was able to identify parthenocarpy variants which do not require pollination nor hormone treatment. Some of the new varieties also have excellent properties such as skin stability.
