RIKEN researchers show that mice can be cloned from a drop of peripheral blood by somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT)

15 – 45 vl of peripheral blood was collected from the tails of mice and prepared for leukocyte nuclei which were used for SCNT. Cloned offspring was born at a 2.8 % birth rate.
