Toshiba commissions human genome “Japonica array” from its Health Care Inc. division

The array is a customized version of the Affymetrix Axiom genotyping array and contains about 675.000 SNPs featuring genome information of the Japanese (based on the whole genome reference panel developed by Tohoku University, Sendai). The cost of one chip is an estimated 20.000 Yen (about 140 €).
