Kyoto University patents genome editing technique targeting 200 kbp stretches of DNA

The „two-hit 2 oligo method“ (2H2OP) which allows to target genomic regions 100 times larger than hitherto possible was developed by Ass. Prof. Tomoji MASHIMO at Osaka University and Ass. Professor Takehito KANEKO of Kyoto University, and patented by Kyoto University.
