Nippon Shokubai starts mass production trial of graphene oxide materials

NEDO forecasts that the market size of graphene material in 2030 will be about 100 billion yen. Under a NEDO contract, Nippon Shokubai has initiated experiments on mass production of graphene oxide. Graphene oxide is a flake-like material with a thickness of 1 nm with unprecedented characteristics (e. g., conductivity, hydrophilicity, dispersibility) which can be modified by derivatization.
