Toshiba’s “Japonica Array”, which is widely used in Japan, e. g., within ToMMo, the Tohoku Medical Megabank Project, is now available in a version 2 which contains 7,000 SNPs in the HLA region, associated with graft-versus-host rejections, autoimmune diseases and drug responsiveness at the time of organ transplantation. Using a software for genotype analysis of these SNPs, which was developed by Toshiba and The University of Tokyo, Toshiba now offers an “HLA Imputation Service” which calculates a hexahedral pattern for HLA-A, HLA-B, HLA-C, HLA-DRB 1, HLA-DQB 1 and HLA-DPB 1 phenotype important for personalized cell technology.
