NTT and Niigata University are taking on the challenge of remotely performing palpation, a technique that has been difficult to achieve through telemedicine. By elucidating and digitizing the palpation technique, they aim to establish technology that can reproduce the softness and feel of the affected area even remotely.

The goal is to clarify the technical and operational requirements for remote implementation, as well as to establish a method for acquiring and reproducing tactile sensations to transmit them to remote locations.
