The Japanese Ministry of Economy is financing a ten-year joint project with JP¥ 55 billion (approx. € 390 million) to reduce CO2 emissions in concrete construction in a cost-neutral manner and to recover CO2 from limestone. The CO2 is then to be reprocessed into carbonates and these into cement. Seven Japanese companies and two universities are participating in the program.
