Asahi Glass (AGC) steps up animal cell capacity at CMC Biologics subsidiary in Berkeley

With a single-use 2000 L culture tank for animal cells, the total culture capacity at CMC Biologics in Berkeley is now at 4000 L. At the company’s subsidiary in Coopenhagen, an additional 2000 L culture tank for animal cells was added in September 2017. Thus, AGC now owns, via CMC Biologics, CDMO facilities for producing biopharmaceuticals using animal cells and microorganisms in Copenhagen, Heidelberg, Seattle and Berkeley.
