NEDO consortium optimizes various types of hands for robots

A NEDO-supported group from Double Giken Co., Tokyo Metropolitan University and
Utsunomiya College for Industrial Technology succeeded in developing Karakuri” robot lightweight hands which could stably and gently grab objects of various shapes with extremely simple control. Three kinds of such robot hands, “F-hand”, “New D-hand” and “Ori gram hand” are optimized for agriculture, logistics, manufacturing and even medical and food applications.”
