TBM Corporation is a leading turbine blade manufacturer. In a test supported by NEDO, fats and oils from food stores and other companies in Saitama prefecture were recovered and used for mobile power generation for cooking appliances, electric lights, and mist generators that created cool spots to counteract heat strokes. It is anticipated that this technology can be used for local electricity generation during the Olympic Games 2020 and in emergency situations.
