TBM introduces 100 KVA mobile power generator based on fats and oils

The concept is based on collecting fat and oil residues from grease blockers installed at restaurants, food stores, sewage plants etc., and use this „trap grease“ fuel in a power generator mounted on a car. TBM Corporation is a leading turbine blade manufacturer. In a test supported by NEDO, fats and oils from food stores and other companies in Saitama prefecture were recovered and used for mobile power generation for cooking appliances, electric lights, and mist generators that created cool spots to counteract heat strokes. It is anticipated that this technology can be used for local electricity generation during the Olympic Games 2020 and in emergency situations.
