Nestle Japan introduces first food product with functional display – containing guar gum for improving bowel movements

The product named „BOOST Everyday Intestinal Activity“ is based on guar gum decomposition products and is claimed to increase the number of stool times/defecation volume and improve bowel movement. BOOST” was introduced in the United States in 1995 by Glaxo as a dietary supplement for medical institutions. In the United States, it is estimated that sales were > 350 million yen in 2015. The trademark BOOST in Japan was also registered by Glaxo in 1997, but Nestle Japan acquired Glaxo ‘s dietary supplement business in 2008.”
