Neonisin-e is an oral care product based on nisin, an antibiotic, which shows antibacterial activity against, e. g., Candida albicans which causes oral candidiasis, an opportunistic infection. The product, developed by Kenji Sonomoto’s group at Kyushu University, will be marketed by the Yokohama-based venture Try-Fu Co. from autumn 2017.
