Calpis, a former member of the Ajinomoto Group, has been purchased by Asahi and offers a range of probiotic products for humans, including a product containing lactotripeptide from Lactobacillus gasseri CP1563 which is claimed to lower blood pressure. Calpis has now launched a product Pet Lab” Skin Health Support” which is claimed to improve the skin of dogs; it contains L-92 lactobacilli. The prize for a supplement of 30 days is 2100 Yen (15 €).”
