The target is to reduce cost as much as to increase PV power generation in Japan in 2020 by 10 % or more. Major issues relate to industrialize double-sided power generation solar cell modules, and to reduce BOS costs (balance of system, the initial introduction cost of power generation system excluding solar cells but including peripheral equipment and construction). Major contractor are Sanyo Co. and Kaneka.
