Tottori University venture Marin Nanofiber offers chitin nanofibers

Using organic acids such as acetic and citric acid, chitin powder created from crab shells is finely grinded and leads to chitin nanofibers of 10~20 nm diameter. The product has shown promising effects in wound healing and as a food additive.
