RIKEN group visualizes intracellular lipid localization using scanning fluorescent X-ray imaging

An inter-university group around has used a bromine-labeled phospholipid in mouse CHO-K1 cells combined with scanning fluorescent X-ray imaging using RIKEN’s SACLA facilities to observe changes in the subcellular localization of these lipids at a resolution of less than a µm
