Public-private consortium develops automotive fuel cell based on ammonia

A consortium from Showa Denko, Taiyo Nippon Sanso and Hiroshima University has developed a prototype device which combines catalytic ammonia-to-hydrogen transformation, residual ammonia removal to 0.1 ppm and hydrogen purification. It is aimed to produce hydrogen fuel in fuel cell vehicles.
