The study initiated by the National Agricultur and Food Research Organization showed that volunteers who had eaten 3 – 4 Whenzou oranges per day reached a level of 3,5 µM ß-cryptoxanthin in blood had a risk of developing type 2 diabetes of 57%, lipid metabolism disorders of 34%, and non-alcoholic liver function disorders of 49% lower than a control group.
