ReproCELL and SBI Pharmaceuticals announce new process for removal of undifferentiated iPS cells

The process is based on the feeding of .alpha.-levulinic acid which forms heme in normal cells, but protoporphyrin IX in undifferentiated iPS cells. Protoporphyrin IX-containing cells can then be selectively destroyed by phototherapy.
