National Research Institute of Brewing breeds Aspergillus oryzae using genome editing

In cooperation with the group of Shigeru KUWATA at Meiji University, Shuichi OSATO and colleagues have developed platinum TALEN-based technologies to breed the “koji”-mold Aspergillus oryzae by genome editing.
