Japan Institute of Medical Research develops point-of-care test for detecting dengue virus

The number of dengue-infected persons in Japan has exceeded 100 and thus a rapid immunoassay based on immunochromatography was developed. Detection time is 10 min, accuracy 90 % and costs are about 100 USD per test
