New 3D Raman microscope allows detection of cell reactions in real time

The microscope (tradename: Phalanx –R) developed by Tokyo Instruments and distributed by Mitsubishi Electric Engineering is based on simultaneous laser light irradiation at 21 x 21 points with simultaneous CCD detection, resulting in a 441 pixel high spatial resolution Raman picture within 1 second.
