The technology aims at recovery of rare metals from electronics and car manufacturing sites. The individual capsules are 2-3 cm in diameter and into devices 1.9 meters long, 1.4 meters wide, 1.9 meters high, connected to the factory’s wastewater treatment equipment. After water is bubbled through the columns, microorganisms will absorb the rare metal. Finally, removed capsules are burnt, and rare metals remain.
