Matsutani Chemical Industry, a producer of starches and rare sugars, reported in collaboration with Kagawa University that consumption of D-allose, an eimper of D-glucose, extended the lifespan of C. rhabditis by 20 %. Similar findings were already reported for D-psicose, an epimer of D-fructose
