Maruzen Pharmaceutials introduces „Smart Lactobacillus lactis“, a tannase-producing lactobacillus, and claims visceral fat reduction

If simultaneous intake of tannase-producing Lactobacillus lactis Lactobacillus plantarum 22A-3 strain (LP gas22A-3 strain) isolated from pickles is done with epigallocatechin gallate (EGCg), a major tea catechin ingredient, the absorption of tea catechin from the intestinal tract is increased, and an anti-obesity effect is demonstrated.
