In collaboration with Associate Professor Kenji HAMASE of Kyushu University, Shiseido has developed ia highly sensitive analysis for the quantitative determination of D amino acids using 2D-HPLC. D-glutamic acid is a candidate substance for restoring the natural barrier function of skin.
