Osaka University team submits provisional plan for clinical study on iPS cell-derived cardiomyocytes transplanted to patients suffering from severe heart failure.

The team comprises Professors Yoshiki SAWA and Shigemi MIYAGAWA from the Cardiovascular Surgery Department of Osaka University, Dept. of Medicine. Takeda contdracts with US BioSurfaces Inc. on nanomaterials for treatment of GI diseases

Massachusetts-based BioSurfaces has developed a process for producing nanofibrous materials out of commonly used FDA-approved polymers. These materials can incorporate drugs or other bioactive agents for localized release.
