The project team, composed of Mitsubishi Chemical Corp, ARPChem and the Tokyo Institute of Technology, has developed a doped zeolite catalyst of ultrahigh durability (1500 hrs at 500 C) which produces olefins via a regenerative repetitive methanol-to-olefin (MTO) reaction at 83 % yield on a small pilot scale.
